So you’ve just moved house, hopefully Volition Removals helped you. Maybe you’ve spent the last few days getting your new home into some semblance of order and you’re feeling like it’s all coming together. If you are like us you can’t wait to share your new abode with your friend and what better way to do it than to throw an awesome house warming party. We find one of the most enjoyable and convenient options during the summer months is a good old fashioned house warming BBQ.

A house warming BBQ party is easy to organize, gives you the flexibility of inviting as many (or as few!) friends as you like and is another opportunity to wow your guests with simple yet delicious treats.

Honey-Soy Chicken Kebabs

Try marinating your kebabs and favourite vegetables with a mouth-watering combination of honey, soy sauce and garlic to assemble together a delicious version of Honey-Soy Chicken Kebabs.

Chicken & Chorizo Skewers

A personal favourite of mine is Chicken and Chorizo skewers, this particular dish was inspired by a recipe by the Hairy Bikers for Spanish Chicken. In fact almost the same but you get that beautiful BBQ smoked and seared taste in addition to the mouthwatering flavours of the ingredients.

• Diced Chicken
• Chorizo slices 1/2 cm
• Red Peppers
• Red Onion
• Cherry Tomatoes
• Paprika & Oregano

For the non-meat lovers out there why not try swapping out your meat for Quorn, Aubergine or even Halloumi.

Once the pressure of moving house is no longer giving you sleepless nights, a perfect house warming BBQ party is, hands down, the best way to relieve the stress, celebrate and show the house off, and makes new friends in the neighbourhood.
